I am pretty pleased with this little vac! I was looking to replace my old Karcher that I've had for years and was starting to die. I paid twice the price for the Karcher than I did for this Eureka model.
There were two major requirements I had for my new cordless vac that I would use in between hauling out the regular vac:
- To pick up dog hair from wood floors and area carpets
- To pick up small pebbles and rocks that are tracked into the house from the yard. Even though I never wear shoes in the house, those pebbles are always making their way onto my kitchen floors! I suspect they are brought in by the ones who are responsible for the dog hair :)
I was pleased when I first tried this vac and discovered that it quickly sucks up both the dog hair and the pebbles without a problem. There is a spinning brush that can be turned on or off which is a great touch... sometimes the brush is needed for grabbing onto stuff like the dog hair better, but sometimes it's best to turn it off when attacking the pebbles.
Battery life hasn't been an issue for me. I can do a quick cleanup of about 800 square feet on a single battery... and this model comes with TWO of them so even if I ran out of juice on one, I could just pop in the other one. The fact that two batteries are included is a great selling point.
If you are looking for a cordless vac to perform some quick cleanups in between regular vacuuming, I highly recommend this product!

I love this cordless vacuum! It is great on hardwood floors, tile, and vinyl! I use it on carpet too, but it does not replace the regular type vacuum. The vacuum comes with two batteries so you can use one until it runs out and quickly replace it with the charged one. You will love this vacuum!

I wanted this vacuum for quick pick-ups of cat and dog hair. I have used it for a week now and while the battery is great as others have noted, it is not suitable for copious hair removal. The pets' hair gets stuck in the brushes and the small wheels on the underside of the roller. It takes more time to pull out the stuck hair that it does to actually vacuum. It works much better on more solid items like cereal and rice, etc. If you want this for pet hair, it is NOT worth the purchase.

The hand doesn't lock in very tightly, but is more of an annoyance than a product limitation. I'd recommend this vac to anyone who's looking for a quick and easy clean-up.

This is the third Eureka cordless vacuum I have bought,the first one I gave to my daughter as she needed something for quick pick ups and the second to my granddaughter.This one I am hanging onto!I love this little vac.,it does a really good job on both the hardwood floors and area rugs.I have a large home and 2 little dogs who have the run of it and this picks up all the hair from them.It is very powerful for such a small vacuum and easy to handle and empty,the charge lasts well and has never stopped on me.
A great buy.It's nice to find a product that gives you what is promised and what you pay for.
